| We
had a lively “30 on Thursday” webinar last week on SharePoint MySites, and
there were many questions that were sent in for discussion. One question
involved social tags and search-ability, so we thought we would show an
example. When a person creates a social tag for themselves in their profile,
(in this example, Ask Me About… “saint bernards”), and someone searches on it,
it will become a refining tab in the people search results as the example shows
below. Note that however, without custom work, a social tag applied to a
general page does not become a refining tag in page search results. It is an
inconsistency with the search that will hopefully be fixed in the next release
of SharePoint!
